Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha declared the results of High School Certificate (HSC) Examination-2019 conducted by it here today.
The result was declared by Odisha School and Mass Education Department Principal Secretary Pradipta Kumar Mohapatra in the presence of BSE Secretary Jahan Ara Begum at board office at around 9 am.
Out of 5,62, 213 who had appeared for the exams this year, a total of 3,97,125 passed with the pass percentage witnessing a sharp decrease as compared to that of the last year. In comparison to last year’s 76.23%, the pass percentage in 2019 has dropped to 70.78%.
The girls have outperformed the boys this year also with 1,91,655 male and 2,05,470 females passing the Matric Examinations. The grade break up of the pass candidates is, A1- 1181, A2- 9938, B1- 24991, B2- 46319, C- 76319, D-116262, E-122062, F-163954.
Similarly, against a total 289 schools which have made 100% results this year,82 schools have come up with NIL pass.
